Established in 2014 in Gandhinagar Electronic SEZ, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. it is India’s only vertically integrated Compound Semiconductor Fab with crystal growth facility.

Established in 2012 in St. Petersburg, Russia. It has a facility in for development of semiconductor materials as also houses a Thermal Engineering Lab in Novosibirsk, Russia.

We are one of the few vertically-integrated manufacturer of white light emitting diode based general lighting products in the world. We develop and manufacture state-of-the-art heterostructures through metal-organic vapour phase epitaxial growth of widebandgap compounds of [Aluminum, Indium, Gallium] Nitrides on various substrates. We fabricate light emitting diodes in blue spectrum using our State-of-the-Art chip architectures, package the chips into usable devices followed by their assembly into a system along with a switched mode power supply.

A few things we’re great at

We are good at material growth and highly innovative and inventive chip architectures, which determine the efficiency (external quantum efficiency) of the photonic devices. We are equally great at out-of-the-box product designs at each level of manufacturing.
Our major most uniqueness lies in our waterfall mode (concurrent) vertical integration. This is a unique characteristic of De Core and different from most companies globally. Such vertical integration is critical for ‘high velocity creativity’. This also very critically enables the Company to detect, correct & make milgrade products. Peer comparison:

MATERIAL SCIENCE

We currently work with III-V material system mainly – Nitride Compounds of Aluminum, Gallium and Indium (often referred to as Gallium Nitride [GaN]) and are also executing research in the area of Diamond growth.

DEVICE FAB.

We fabricate blue LEDs and are working to develop GaN HEMTs & MMICs, UV photonics (photodetectors and LEDs) & Power electronic devices using GaN-on-Silicon Technology.

SUB-SYSTEM

We fabricate subsystems comprising of multi-chip modules using chip-on-board technology. We are also desiging, developing & manufacturing switched mode power supplies. We are capable of doing LED Self Emitting LED Displays.

SYSTEM ASSEMBLY

We are manufacturing various LED products including, but not limited to Solar Photovoltaic Lanterns, Grid connected and Solar PV Street Lights, Commercial lighting and Industrial Lighting. We have also done special lighting including automobile and vandal lighting.

PRODUCT DESIGN CAPABILITIES

LED Lighting Products

Every lighting product we created, entailed a design IPR registration by virtue of each one of them being pioneering both functionally and in design.

OUT-OF-THE-BOX

We developed a technology to create a conveyor of pioneering products & designs. We own an in-house prototyping facility.

MULTI-FUNCTIONALITY

We ensure that each of our product is designed to be functionally plural.

OPTICS

We have developed a large number of special polycarbonate and other polymer optics for breakthrough products.

RELIABILITY

Product reliability is another critical aspect to which we ensure through extensive & multitude of tests

MATERIAL SCIENCE

De Core Nanosemiconductors Limited, Gandhinagar has produced a slew of pioneering technologies in the Aluminum-Indium-Gallium Nitride.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Pioneered ultra-stable low-vibratory structure for high resolution equipment. We also developed ammonia recycling through double distillation from the equipment exhaust.

CRYSTAL GROWTH

High efficiency multi-quantum wells (MQWs) have been developed from AlGaN, GaN, InGaN materials along with a superlattice structure.

DEVICE FABRICATION

Developed a few highly innovative proprietary chip architectures. Various Epitaxial Heterostructures, and Ohmic Contact Technologies. Co. possesses IPR in the FLip Chip and Laser lift off of epitaxial structures.

DEVICE PACKAGING

De Core products use chip-on-board technology to enhance heat extraction from the chip.
